Manic Panic hair colors are ready to use and no developer is required. For best results, pre-lighten hair to a light blonde using Manic Panic Flash Lightning Bleach Kit.

Cattail Hair Color
Cattail is a mid-toned chocolate brown hair dye. Cattail has rich, warm undertones so it works well on most blonde hair levels but for best results use on pre-lightened hair. If you’d like to punch up this shade, try adding in a few drops of Raven or Blue Panther to your mix (especially If you're using it on unbleached hair).

How many 118 ml pots will I need to cover my hair?

Short to bob length hair: 1- 2 pots depending on the thickness of hair
Shoulder to waist length hair: 2 - 3 pots depending on the thickness of hair. May require an extra pot to complete ends if the hair is thick.
Waist and below length hair: 3+ pots depending on thickness

Application
1. Wash hair with a deep cleansing shampoo, do not condition.
2. Dry hair with a blow dryer to make sure the hair is extremely porous.
3. Put on gloves and apply Manic Panic Hair Color using a tint brush making sure hair is thoroughly saturated.
4. Comb through the hair color to make sure it is evenly applied. The cream may become slightly frothy.
5. Cover hair with a plastic cap and leave on for 30-45 minutes. For more intensity, add heat.
6. Rinse with cool water away from your face and body until water runs clear. Do not shampoo.
7. Style as desired. To prevent color transfer, always make sure your hair is completely dry.

Pro Tips

Always do a patch test.
Before dyeing make sure to use a pH-neutral shampoo to help the hair dye absorb into the hair.
Use a hair dryer to evenly apply heat for 5-10 minutes of your processing time. This will help to open up the cuticle and allow the Manic Panic hair color to better penetrate the hair strand. Make sure to allow the hair to cool completely before rinsing out color.
To keep your color fresh: rinse with cold water. Use Manic Panic Hair Freshener/ Dry Shampoo. Style on low heat. Add some of your color to your conditoner!
We recommend lightening your hair with bleach before applying the dye.

Pre-application allergy test:

To avoid an allergic reaction, patch test at least 48 hours before applying the hair tint.

Chemicals in hair dyes:
