Before using the appliance for the first time, read the operating instructions in full and familiarise yourself with the appliance.
General safety instructions

Careful supervision is required when using the appliance in the vicinity of children.

Never place or use the appliance in a wet or damp environment.

Do not use the appliance under water, e.g. in the shower.

Never bring the appliance into direct contact with fire, gas, oxygen or hot objects, e.g. hobs.

Switch off the appliance before changing the grinding wheel.

Handle the appliance with care so that it cannot fall or be damaged in any other way.

If problems occur with the appliance, have it repaired immediately. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.

Do not lubricate or wash the appliance.

Disconnect the mains adapter from the power supply when you are not using the appliance.

Never leave the appliance unattended when children or untrained persons are handling the appliance.

Ensure that children do not play with the device.

Only use the appliance for applications as described in these instructions for use.

Only use attachments and accessories authorised by the manufacturer.

Never use the appliance if the power cable has been damaged, if the appliance has been dropped or if it has come into contact with water.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and/or knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

Do not use the appliance under blankets and pillows as excessive heat can cause fire, injury or electric shock.

Do not carry the appliance by the cord and do not use the cord as a handle.

When you stop using the appliance, set all switches to Off/0 and disconnect the mains plug.

Only use extension cords if you have checked that they are in perfect condition.

If the mains cable of the appliance is damaged, it may only be replaced by an authorised service centre.

Never allow children to play with the packaging material. There is a risk of suffocation.

If the appliance has fallen into water, do not reach for it! First pull the mains plug out of the socket.

Waste from electrical appliances at the end of their service life

Do not dispose of electrical appliances with household waste. In accordance with European Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment and its transposition into national law, used electrical appliances must be collected separately and recycled in an environmentally friendly manner. Recycling alternative to the return request: The owner of the electrical appliance is obliged to co-operate in the proper recycling in the event of relinquishment of ownership instead of returning it. For this purpose, the old appliance can also be handed over to a collection centre that carries out disposal in accordance with the national Closed Substance Cycle and Waste Management Act. This does not apply to accessories and aids without electrical components that are enclosed with the old appliance. The product packaging consists of recyclable materials. Dispose of it in an environmentally friendly manner and recycle it.
